Menu Notes 1/14/14

Chef Brandon menu notes. Contact Health Savor for delicious organic food in Cincinnati.

Hello, everyone. Chef Brandon here. We had a very big week, and 436 items are now on their way to all corners of the city. Thank You!  For those of you just joining us, welcome! On delivery night, I send out the full ingredients list, nutritional analysis, and heating instructions.

I attach them in PDF and DOC formats. These are 15-20 page documents, so it makes sense to keep it electronic.

Due to our high volume, I just left the kitchen, so the full analysis is going to be another couple of hours.

In the meantime, I went ahead and copied the heating instructions for all of the cook-able items, so that you can get started enjoying the entrees. Expect the analysis by late evening tonight.Make sure to “favorite” us or “star” us or mark us as “priority” in Gmail so that you get the information you need. We’ve heard many reports of our customers missing our emails, menus, and instructions due to overly-sensitive spam filters.

I apologize for any inconvenience, and appreciate your patience as we totally just outgrew ourselvesl (Yay!)

Ok, now YOU enjoy, and I will get busy on the analyses.

See ya in a bit.

Sincerely,

Chef Brandon, Kara, Heidi, Don, Rich, Jenn, Debbie.

Stuffed Portobello Chicken or Tofu over Wild Rice Remove lid and bake at 350 for 20 minutes. For Amish Chicken option, thickness of filets vary, so verify that the chicken is fully cooked by cutting into the thickest part. Chicken should be all white and easy to cut. Enjoy within 5 days.

Quinoa/Black Bean “Tex-Mex” Style Casserole Remove lid and bake at 300 for 15-20 minutes. Enjoy within 7 days.

*Broccoli/Cauliflower/Chickpea/Amish Chicken or Tofu Curry –I kept the salt to a minimum to allow YOU to decide how much you need. All of the flavors are there, just add a couple of pinches. Bake at 350 with lid on for approximately 20 minutes, or until hot throughout. May also be cooked in a skillet on medium for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Enjoy within 7 days

Moroccan Split Pea Soup (20 oz, enough for two) Simply heat and eat, using stove top-sauce pan method or microwave on reheat setting (high setting destroys nutrients). Freezer Friendly. Otherwise, enjoy within 7 days.

White Bean/Kale Soup – Simply heat and eat, using stove top-sauce pan method or microwave on reheat setting (high setting destroys nutrients). Freezer Friendly. Otherwise, enjoy within 7 days.

Roasted Veggie Pesto Pasta –Remove lid and Pesto side cup and bake at 300 for 10 minutes OR saute in skillet over medium high heat, stirring frequently, until hot. Add pesto AFTER pasta and veggies are hot. Enjoy!

Chicken Philly Cheese – Last time we pre-cooked the chicken, but this time I wanted you to taste it fresh off of the grill. Simply pour contents into a skillet on high, and keep stirring until chicken is done. That’s it!

Strawberry/Vanilla Oatmeal – Simply heat and eat. I use the sauce-pan method on medium high for 4 minutes, stirring occasionally. You may also heat in microwave on reheat setting for 3 minutes. No chemicals, no hassle.

Kale/Mushroom Omelet – Simply pour into a skillet and cook to desired consistency.

Breakfast Burritos – Mmm.. We formed a beautiful relationship with the owner of Eckerlin Meats. They custom made this nitrite-free, free-range Turkey Sausage just for us. We have full control over the spice level and such, so let us know how you liked it, and we can tweak it if necessary. Place burritos in the oven at 350 for 15 minutes.  They can be microwaved as well, but the tortilla may stick to the wrapper a bit. Use reheat setting for 2-3 minutes.

Weight Loss/Diabetic/Anti-Inflammation/Candida Killer Menu – Both Tiers

Stuffed Eggplant Chicken Remove lid and bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Thickness of filets vary, so verify that the chicken is fully cooked by cutting into the thickest part. Chicken should be all white and easy to cut. Enjoy within 5 days.

Roasted Veggie Pesto Pasta – –Remove lid and Pesto side cup and bake at 300 for 10 minutes OR saute in skillet over medium high heat, stirring frequently, until hot. Add pesto AFTER pasta and veggies are hot. Enjoy!

Chicken Philly Cheese – Last time we pre-cooked the chicken for you, but this time I wanted you to taste it fresh off of the grill. Simply pour contents into a skillet on high, and keep stirring until chicken is done. That’s it!

Chipotle-Tofu Baked Veggie Enchiladas – This is easily a 2 serving entree. Remove lid and bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Stays safe in your fridge for 7-9 days.

Broccoli/Cauliflower/Amish Chicken Curry – I kept the salt to a minimum to allow YOU to decide how much you need. All of the flavors are there, just add a couple of pinches. Bake at 350 with lid on for approximately 20 minutes, or until hot throughout. May also be cooked in a skillet on medium for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Enjoy within 7 days

White Bean/Kale Soup – Simply heat and eat, using stove top-sauce pan method or microwave on reheat setting (high setting destroys nutrients). Freezer Friendly. Otherwise, enjoy within 7 days.

Matcha Goddess Salad– Remove lid and pour on the goodness.

Kale/Tomato Omelet – Simply pour into a skillet and cook to desired consistency.

Pumpkin Spice Coconut Bread – I decided to make these into mini muffins since the carb-free bread doesn’t hold together quite the same as regular bread. And the calories in the cashew butter recipe were just way too many, so I omitted that as well. I like these warmed. Use a dab of butter or so at your discretion, noting the caloric change.

Broccoli/Caramelized Onion Omelet – Simply pour into a skillet and cook to desired consistency.

Extras

Kids Salmon Nuggets – Remove lid and bake at 400 for 15 minutes, then remove the salmon and leave the tots in the oven for an additional 10 minutes. Freezes very well.

Kids PizzaBake at 350 for 10 minutes. Gluten free crust likes to stay soft in the middle. Try cooking your pizza on the lowest rack of the oven. Freezes very well.

Kids Amish Chicken Nuggets – Bake in a perforated pan (for circulation) or cookie sheet for 15 minutes at 400. May also be cooked in a skillet with a dab of oil on medium high for 3 minutes per side.  Freezes very well.

Deluxe Apple Cobbler – Remove lid, and bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes, until crumbles become crusty. Freezer friendly.
