Heating Instructions for 10-20-2015 Delivery

 

Chicken, Shrimp, or Tofu and Veggies over Forbidden/Cauliflower Rice – Skillet: Transfer contents to skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic oil and stir fry until piping hot. Oven: Remove lid and garlic oil. Cover with foil, then bake at 375 for 15 minutes. Then shake garlic oil and drizzle over entire dish and mix well.

We always keep the sodium very low so you can decide how much you like. Feel free to add a dash if it suits you.

The garlic oil is a tad different this time. I added a bit of lemon juice and used a mixture of Olive Oil, Grapeseed Oil (high vitamin E) and Flax Oil (Omega 3). The Vitamin E acts as a “fat antioxidant” and protects the fragile omega 3’s from oxidation.

 

Pecan Chicken, Salmon, or Amina Nuggets: Remove lid and heat in oven for 20 minutes at 350. Thickness of filets varies, so it may need a couple of extra minutes for the thicker ones.

 

Acorn Squash Bowl – This one takes some time, but is worth it! We recommend warming it in the microwave on reheat setting for a few min, to remove chill, then baking, covered, at 350 for 15 min. If no microwave is available, bake covered at 300 for 1 hr.

 

Amish Turkey and Spinach or Veggie-Mushroom Meatloaf – Bake with lid on (or cover with foil) at 375 for 20 minutes. We like to cover only the veggies and leave the meatloaf uncovered.

 

Tortilla Soup – Heat in microwave on reheat setting or pour contents into saucepan and heat until piping hot.

 

Breakfast Scramble – Our scrambles can be heated in the oven at 325 for 15 minutes, or heated in a skillet over medium heat, tossing regularly, for a few minutes until steamy.

Any item can be frozen, except entrees that do not require any cooking. Naturally, the texture of the vegetables may change after freezing. Use your best judgement.

We recommend eating the seafood and fresh, raw (salads, wraps, etc.) within the first few days.

Never cook entrees with plastic lid on in the oven. If instructions call for an item to be covered, but you have a plastic lid, remove the lid and cover with foil.
